Hump Yard In And Out Of The Yard?

if i were to work in a hump yard such as the bnsf yard in galesburg or kansas city would i just mostly work yard and local jobs, or are there road assignments as well while working at a hump yard, because i know there are road jobs at intermodall yards, coal yards,etc. but im not sure if theres road jobs while working at a hump yard?
