Yardmaster Requirements

Hey guys,

To be a yardmaster in Avondale or Livonia, is previous railroad employment required? Also, do they hire external candidates? I haven’t seen any information about it on the UP website.

Contracts requires that it’s an internal promotion.

UP does not hire upper level crafts to be hired, younstart as a conductor or other craft and promote up - except management.
