I'm looking for information on CNJ 24000-24473 series 40' boxcars. These were 10'-0" inside height cars that just magically appeared on the CNJ freight car roster in 1964, despite having been built by AC&F in 1948. Does anyone have any idea if these cars were renumbered from other CNJ boxcar series, or were they acquired secondhand from another railroad? Any information is appreciated!
