Hey LHR fans, the railroad is celebrating it's 150th anniversary this year. Rand Realty, now occupying the Warwick Train Station had an open house on Sunday, March 7th, displaying many old pictures of the railroad around Warwick on its walls. Apparently the pics are there year round, and the people there are very nice. I believe you can go there and view them on your own. Also, local Warwick Historian Sue Gardner has put together a display of rare LHR artifacts in the new Albert Wisner Library Historical Room- a must see for everyone-this will be up through the month of March, I believe the new library is located on McFarland Avenue. It's nice that these people are keeping the LHR alive and in view. Some of the former employees and local historians were on hand yesterday for a picture and a chat as well-always great to see the boys and catch up on matters.
