Does anyone know what kind of yellow or gold was used on the cornell red painted alco's? Im doing a custom model and have already painted the cornell red but want to add the yellow stripe that goes along the long hood and cab. I tried googling it and found a site but it just gave what companies made the cornell red for models.

Imitation Gold is what that yellow is usually called. If you're doing HO, just get the Microscale set and use the stripes, they give you plenty and as tough as it is to get them straight it's a lot easier than trying to mask, plus it's going to be tough to paint yellow over red - you're supposed to paint light colors first, mask, then paint darks. I know, not always easy to do that way.
