Does anyone know what locomotive type was typically assigned to LV trains 107/108, the Buffalo-Niagara Falls connection for the Maple Leaf? I know that 107 left Buffalo to meet the west bound Maple Leaf (No. 7) at Depew. There, through sleepers and coaches were swapped from No. 7 to continue on to Toronto, while the remainder of No. 7 continued on to Buffalo. The reverse of course was the case for the Buffalo bound connection (108) and east bound Maple Leaf (No. 8). Did the LV assign Alco PA's for this, or did they have other diesel locomotives equipped to handle passenger cars on this short run?
