GMTX 9014 and GMTX 9059 are in Toronto right now on CN train M30831-18 out of Toronto, Ontario, bound for Montreal on M32319.. They both are freshly rebuilt and repainted all blue with white nose, with GATX spelled out... cab signals installed, plus the fans, the radiator on top of the fan base are all removed. Its been lowered and shortened to clear off Metro-North wires.. P&W will be holding on to them for 2 years.

Those 2 units are to be interchanged to NECR by the end of the week.

NOW someone has posted that P&W are not getting SD60's in this forum.. so they are wrong... They are COMING.... The last 2 "blue" GATX GP38-2's are gone.. they were delivered to NECR yesterday heading North to CN destined to Marquette Rail.. There is NO GATX GP38's on P&W for short term lease.. they all are gone.

Caught M308 at Coteau on the Kingston sub. just west of Montreal on Monday 18 July. NO GMTX units.
Don't understand your reference M32319. Please explain.

Reported on the P&W Yahoo forum, they are being held in St. Albans. The P&W Willimantic branch is waiting FRA approval to reopen. That's the likely route they'll take to Worcester, as they can't cross the NECR trestle over Winthrop Cove in New London - 6-axle power restricted.

Now that they are on the property, let's see where they get deployed given they are too tall (reportedly) for the stone trains on MNCR to Fresh Pond.

It also seems that both units lack ATC or ACSES, one unit has cabsignal only.
Which is useless on MNCR or Shoreline

Both units are to have had everything installed before they where sent, part of the reason they took so long to get here. also they made adjustments to the roof area ie; moved the horns to the side fo teh engine to clear the wires on MN. I also beleive they are no taller then the other 6 axels and tehy run in the NEC ( I have not seen the side by side to compare though)

Just checked.. They DO have ATC and ACESES equipment... its all loaded.. Both have cab signals..One has the "boxed" version like the CR version, The other has the newer "Harmon" version, its all microchips. The "boxed" version is all history now. Notice.. CSXT has been removing them from all ex CR units, lots of them are leading on the Boston Line with newer Harmon cab signals.. Those 2 SD60's are all loaded and set in order to meet the FRA ATC requirements due in all railroad units by 2014 (hence CSXT replacing a lot of old B&O and C&O signals along the line in the South and will creepingly tackle NYC signals soon Look at NY State Railfan)

You didnt know???

Amtrak leased 8 CR SD40-2's for the Corridor upgrade from Boston to New Haven... Running welded rail trains, ballast trains, Track trains, concrete tie trains, and such before they strung up some wires. They have been running on Amtrak for 2 years, plus CR ran 30 car stone train locals from New Haven (Pine Orchard) to Old Saybrook with SD40-2's, SD40's, C30-7, and C30-7A's back then before P&W acquires CR trackage as CR wants out of CT. Got so many photos of em everywhere.....

Reported on the Yahoo P&W forum, they made a trip down to the Willimantic last weekend w/ the 4005 for ethanol.
