Were these pictures taken after the incident with the conductor? The train arrived at Fremont around 5:00p. Anybody know when the equipment went back north?

On railpictures.net I saw a picture of the first P&W engine to be painted into G&W. At least we'll get to see widecabs and maybe passenger cars in the G&W scheme.

Agreed.

it is pretty wasteful to repaint them 70's so fast, but that B40 wide cab that was never repainted... long overdue, and at least a sign they don't intend to get rid of it.

As I understand it the paint shop down there has been closed... Don't know if it's a temporary thing or if it'll be permanent.

Probably G&W bean counters at work.

On another subject, G&W agreed to fulfill any passenger excursions that the P&W
had already contracted for, prior to the sale. If all those contracts have been
fulfilled, the passenger train fleet is probably already mothballed and will be
up for sale and the liability insurance coverage has likely been terminated.
