Ringling Bros' Red Team is in Providence starting today. Next stop on the tour is Hartford. I presume there's a train in providence right now? And does anyone know the routing to Hartford?

Probably Worcester, down to Groton, NEC to Cedar Hill in New Haven, and handoff at Cedar Hill to CSOR and up the Springfield Line to Hartford Yard. There's no P&W freight on the NEC between Kingston and Groton so not enough crew would be qualified there vs. the mains. And the Air Line + Valley Line requires a backup move in Middletown with the P&W/CSOR division post in Hartford at the switch to the Brainerd Airport spur nowhere near as convenient a place to stage a handoff as inside a proper yard. So preference is probably going to be Springfield Line for the last leg.

the Routing of the Red Unit Form Providence to Hartford will be P&W Prov to Worcester, then CSX will pick up the train with CSX engines and take the train to Springfield where it will hand the train off to the CSOR. not sure if the power will transfer with the train or if CSOR power will take the train. the move is normally late Sunday night Early Monday morning (after the close of the last show) and arrives in Worcester usually around day break.
