On their website, the Durbin & Greenbrier Valley RR state
that they will not be running trips to Spruce in 2011 "due
to circumstances beyond their control".

Anyone have any details on that? Thanks..

The line from Cheat Bridge up to Summit Cut is out of service for at least 2 years due to a river reclamation project between mile post 82 and 85. Most of the river will be re-worked to make it "better" than mother nature could. Due to the scope of the project and the fact that the only way in or out is by rail, the line was taken out of service. Cass will not be allowed to come out on the line to access Spruce.
