The twelve term Congressman from Florida's 7th Congressional District has been defeated by an "unknown" college professor.

While Rep. Mica's grandstanding at various House hearings over "waste at Amtrak" picking on the minutae of Food and Beverage costs have been annoyances to those here who follow Amtrak affairs, he has indeed "brought home the bacon" for many a transportation project, such as Sun Rail, to his constituents.

Not residing in Florida, and Central Florida is somewhere I simply pass through, be on the highway, rail, or at Flight Level 33, I must take the "We report, you decide" position.
