This is the Metrolink EMD F59PH & Companion Bombardier BiLevel Cab Car Physics Modification pack Version 3.0.

In order to utilize this freeware physics upgrade, you must have purchased the "Los Angeles Commuter Rail F59PH" pack available at Steam: http://store.steampowered.com/app/277747/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

This is a freeware pack; in no way is it to be used for commercial purposes. You are free, however to further modify the physics enhancements found in this pack for personal use if you so choose.

THIS IS NOT A SOUND UPGRADE PACK. Physics adjustments made around the existing sounds.

The purpose of this pack is to adjust the locomotive weight, fuel capacity, motor amperage limits, and braking effort values for more realistic operation.

Version 3.0 includes the signature JohnS brake fix.

NOTE: This physics mod does not completely integrate with the new Metro reskin pack from The Locomotive Shop (http://thelocoshop.blogspot.com/p/downloads.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) as far as I'm aware. I do know that the physics simulation values are slaved to the default F59PH values, so if you change them normally, the changes should carry over into the reskinned versions of the F59PH. The brake fix does NOT carry over into the reskins.

Parameter Change Log:
1. Lowered fuel tank capacity from 4,800 gallons to 1,500 gallons.
2. Increased locomotive weight to 271,165.8 lbs (123 metric tons) for better adhesion characteristics.
3. Maximum tractive amps is 1785; maximum braking amps is 700.
4. Adjusted tractive effort curve with 2850 wheel hp in mind; independent of HEP load.
5. Adjusted dynamic brake effort rating and curve for more realistic operation.
6. Lowered prime mover max RPM to 900 to fix engine sound issue when reving over 900 RPM.
7. Raised weights of bilevel cars from 57 metric tons to 70 metric tons to simulate passenger load.
8. Adjusted full service brake rate to ~2.0 mph/s

This pack also includes the option to swap in physics of different locomotives (some fictional) into the F59PH body.

Please note that the initial release versions on steam for both the NJCL and F40PH-2CAT are buggy and inaccurate. If you do purchase it now, please keep in mind that post-release DLC patches are probably in order in the next few weeks or so. If you choose to wait to purchase until the bug fixes have been applied, I won't judge you lol. I will post a separate mod-release video later this week. Still ironing out some last minute issues myself.

THIS IS BOTH A SOUND AND PHYSICS UPGRADE PACK.

The main purpose of this pack is to make use of the proper horn and bell sound files that were somehow overlooked by DTG in the beta test process, introduce authentic Leslie RS2M horn sounds (exterior and cab versions) and authentic bell sounds (exterior and cab versions). This pack also replaces the door sounds and adds brake release sounds.

From a physics perspective, this pack introduces new weight and tractive effort values to give a more realistic operating feel.

Included is the signature JohnS brake fix. Additionally, the number of throttle notches on the Shoreliner Cab Car have been fixed.

Finally, this pack gives the user the ability to switch between GE P32AC-DM physics and MPI HSP46 physics. Follow the instructions provided below to switch between.

User Manual:
Upon installation, the pack defaults to using the GE P32AC-DM (3300 GHP) physics. In order to switch physics, follow the steps below:

1. Open the following directories:
a. "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\RailWorks\Assets\RSC\P32Pack01\RailVehicles\Diesel\P32DC\Simulation"
b. "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\RailWorks\Assets\RSC\P32Pack01\RailVehicles\Diesel\P32DC\Engine"
2. In each of those directories, you will see three folders (one for each set of locomotive physics):
a. "P32AC-DM (3300 GHP)"
b. "HSP46 (4700 GHP)"
3. Once you choose which set of physics to use, open the respective physics folder in all three directories from step 1.
4. Copy (CTRL + C) all files you find in the opened folder located in directory 1a.
5. Proceed back to directory 1a and paste (CTRL + V) the copied files into the directory; overwrite when prompted.
6. Copy (CTRL + C) all files you find in the opened folder located in directory 1b.
7. Proceed back to directory 1b and paste (CTRL + V) the copied files into the directory; overwrite when prompted.
8. If the previous 7 steps were completed properly, the physics swap should be successful; run TS2016 to check.

Thank you for downloading and installing.
Enjoy =)

This is the Chicago & Southwest Productions Metra EMD F40PH-3 Locomotive & Nippon Sharyo Gallery Cab Car Comprehensive Modification pack version 2.0

In order to utilize this freeware physics upgrade, you must have purchased the "The Racetrack: Aurora - Chicago Route Add-On" pack available at Steam: http://store.steampowered.com/app/258648/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

This is a freeware pack; in no way is it to be used for commercial purposes. You are free, however to further modify the physics and sound enhancements found in this pack for personal use if you so choose.

This is BOTH sound mod and physics mod pack.

The purpose of this pack is to adjust the physics performance of the EMD F40PH-3 locomotive and the associated Gallery Cab Car.

This pack also replaces the mediocre stock bell sounds with authentic bell sounds (exterior and interior versions) for both the cab car and the locomotive.

This pack also replaces the door sounds (audible only while in the cab car at the moment). Sounds sourced to Tyler Johnston.

Sound NOTE: The interior bell sound on the locomotive is very soft, so if it is barely audible, that's the way it's supposed to be. Also, once again, you will only hear the door chime if you are operating from the cab car. You will NOT hear it if you are operating from the locomotive.

SIDE NOTE: To obtain Metra logo and decals for rolling stock, download this pack: http://railworksamerica.com/index.php/d ... ccessories" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (http://www.facebook.com/groups/720469151375805/files/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)

List of general changes for v2.0 release (from the v1.0 release):
1. Incorporated the JohnS brake fix. Brake pipe pressure set back to 90 PSI and brakes are now graduated release.
2. Removed HEP physics option
3. Increased traction motor load time from 5 seconds to 25 seconds
4. Packaged the sound mod into v2.0 release

NOTE: The F40PH-3 locomotive comes default with a neat HEP mode toggle ability, this only affects engine RPM; tractive power is not affected.

Technical specifications:

1. EMD F40PH-2 (EMD 645; 3200 THP; no HEP)
a. Starting tractive effort of 65,000 lbs (289.1344 kN)
b. Continuous tractive effort of 38,240 lbs (170.1 kN) @ 16.31 mph
c. Dynamic Brake effort of 35,000 lbs (177.93 kN) @ 55 mph; extended range sawtooth curve between 55 mph and 36 mph. Fade to 0 lbs @ 0.5 mph (not in use)
d. Wheel horsepower of 3,000 hp (2,239 kW) @ 30 mph
e. Maximum speed of 103 mph
