Between BM Tower at Brocton and GB Tower at Blasdell the depots on the south side of the double track were PRR. The depots on the north side of the double track were NKP. The southernmost track was owned by the PRR, the northernmost by the NKP. The line was operated with automatic block signals in later years. As late as the early sixties, just before the NKP was consumed by the N&W, station and tower operators were still communicating via telepgraph. I remember being in the Angola depot(NKP) one day when the operator(Mr. Stephenson) decided he needed some practice so he began talking to the operators at Lake View(PRR) and BM via telegraph. They usually used the telephone at this time though. Hugh T. Guillaume
