What, if any, Wabash passenger trains ran to Chicago from (or through) Detroit or Toledo. Also, was the one train each way from Bement to Effingham a train with any connections further on from Bement?

I have a 1948 Wabash public timetable. By that time the line to Effingham had been cut back to Sullivan. Also, passenger service between Detroit or Toledo and Chicago was via Fort Wayne and the Pennsylvania Railroad. The Wabash's own line between Toledo and Chicago seems to have had only mixed train local service between Gary and Montpelier, westbound MWF and eastbound TTS. No doubt the trains you are asking about predated WWII or at least 1948.
