Reposted from the Amtrak forum at moderator's request: I took train 95 from Newark to Williamsburg yesterday (the Monday after Easter) and noted heavy passenger volume particularly on the NEC portion of the trip.
We were a bit late, but had a good ride on train 95 today. Incidentally, while I didn't get to see the head end up close, it looked like we had #145 leading the way south of DC. Also, we had 9 coaches on a very full train to DC, but the last coach was removed in DC - guess it was needed on another NEC train. So, while we arrived in DC on time, removing that coach seemed to cost us 20 minutes. Ended up about 50 minutes down by Williamsburg.
