It's seven trains per day. The UP usually sends parades of unloaded autorack trains, chemical tank cars, coil cars, various hoppers and boxcars, autoparts boxcars and sometimes a mixed assortment of everything above. The UP has two yards, one at Harlingen, TX and another at Olmito, TX. The yard at Harlingen holds cars for the Rio Valley Switching Co's lines to Rio Grande City and Santa Rosa. That yard has seven trains going northbound and southboud. While at the yard in Olmito, the UP has a yard that interchanges with the Brownsville & Rio Grande International Railroad. There, trains coming from Mexico drop off their cars at the Olmito yard, while they then pick up their train for Monterrey. All sorts of power is seen there (Including BNSF and TFM/KCSM...CSX and NS are brought along from the interchange in New Orleans) In the operations, it's very noticable. If there's less traffic, the yard in Harlingen would probably have three rows of northbound and southbound of yard tracks full, leaving another six empty (there are another three more, except that the RVSC stored a lot of TTX intermodal equipment and it's 'I Love New York'/APASCO boxcars).
