Considering the alternatives, a dusty bus or truck trip 100s of k's longer , or maye the ubiquitous bush taxi, the "cinq cent quatre" in former French colonies , (Peugeot 504 in my travelling days, but the name applied to any car used for bush taxi service), this is probably a good option for locals.
