Apparently the trains are automated. The platforms are enclosed, so people can'tn be pushed off, in front of oncoming trains.

There are Metros like that in France - and also the London Docks line where most of the time trains are automatic, though with the possibility of being operated by the person in charge.
Also the Milan line 5 (violet line) is automatic with enclosed platforms.
