"Your attention please..."

Post by Mountcastle » Mon Jan 04, 2010 10:47 pm

Watching a YouTube clip of train arrivals and departures at Disneyland, recently, it occured to me that it might be fun if the Arcade & Attica would do something similar with their arrival and departure calls. The Disney railroads have a loud, booming, recorded male voice announcing arrivals and departures in very dramatic fashion...

I believe at the Arcade Depot, it's just a matter of one of the crew making a somewhat inaudible (and certainly undramatic) announcement via the PA system on the train, or perhaps its the ticket seller, still; I can't recall. It used to be the ticket seller...I know, because I used to make the boarding call when I sold tickets there eons ago.

Whatever the case, it might make things more interesting if they would "kick it up a notch", to quote Emeril, and make a big, dramatic event of boarding and arrival calls, they way Disney does.

Either that, or I'm just inventing things to post about the Arcade & Attica in the dead of winter.
