I drove by the Arcade yard today and discovered that the remains of the Arcade wye have been pulled up.

The rail for the old leg of the wye in this pic is now gone:

Another section of the B&S mainline to Buffalo is gone. Rail laid down in 1905...

I'll have pics up soon.

An interesting development. Perhaps they can use it to turn equipment to equalize wear on the trucks.

The remaining leg of the wye had its rail replaced last week with heavier rail.

It was probably the original rail laid down in 1905.

Workers were working on the new switch today for the new "leg" track of the wye.

The former "coach" track will connect to the new wye.

The 3 old boxcars (2 orange/1 green) now sit on unconnected track!

Work has also begun on the new passing siding that will be behind Prestolite.

Thanks for the update. It looks like they are rebuilding the south/east portion of the wye long enough to turn the entire passenger train in one go.

^The stub track is not long enough for the entire train.

More like a loco and 2 cars...

I visited yard yesterday.

The new leg of the wye is done.

They just have to do ballasting/tamping.

Work is being done on the new siding behind Prestolite. Working on the grade right now...

I've seen some freight cars and passenger cars on the leg of the new wye. I don't think all of it is in service yet.

The new siding behind Prestolite is in! It's not in service yet.

There are cars parked on the wye tonight.

On the tail track which is the old B&S grade...

Looks like it is in service now!
