Railway Gazette: Bordeaux to Spain high speed line route approved
The transport ministry has approved routes for high speed lines from Bordeaux to Toulouse and the Spanish border, RFF announced on April 6, enabling the infrastructure manager to prepare for a public enquiry which is expected to start in mid-2013.
The lines will be:

Bordeaux - (existing) - Saint-Médard-d'Eyrans - junction near Cudos - near Agen - near Montauban - Saint-Jory - (existing) - Toulouse
Roughly parallel to highway A62

Cudos Junction - N of Mont-de-Marsan - N of Dax - S of Bayonne - S of Irún, Spain - Spanish high-speed network

There is already a line from Tours to Bordeaux in late stages of planning: LGV Sud Europe Atlantique - Wikipedia It should start construction some time this year.


High-Speed Train from Barcelona to France now delayed until the end of 2013 | Catalan News Agency There are still some unfinished bits of construction, like tracks from Barcelona about 20 km to Mollet del Valles, and some work on the platforms in the station in Girona.
