Weren't several of the Illinois Central cars used by Amtrak after ADay heavyweight (6 wheel trucks)?

Chile used Heavyweight coaches up until the 1990s.

In the summer of 1980, VIA [CN] had a heavyweight club car on the Super-Continental east of Edmonton, it rode smooth as silk, no rock, no roll across the prairies.

LIRR MP54s chugged right up till the mid-70s, and SEPTA cars lasted till the mid-80s.

Southern Pacific had HW era commuter coaches running until 1985.
