Here are some photos of new bridge construction in the Jordan Narrows for Union Pacific and UTA Frontrunner South. This is interesting because construction must deal with two very different rail operations, and entails extensive movement of one. This is fairly unusual railroad engineering.

Appears that you were standing either on or very close to the old SL&U r/o/w right behind Camp W.G. Williams when you took the photo. Did a few AFT tours with the NG at the camp during various summers 1960s-1980s and took many photos in that same locale. Neat area, that Jordan Narrows. Thanks for the update.

Hiked the old SL&U r/o/w during the summer of 1987, which was the last time I was at Camp Williams. Went all the way from in back of the camp south to where the interurban had crossed the Jordan River. Was going to wade the river and continue the hike but, alas, it had been dredged and was too deep (we trained in the river in years past and it was about waist deep back then, at least in the narrows). Wanted to locate where the SL&U had crossed the D&RGW Marysvale branch. There were some nice cuts near the irrigation system gate tender's house and, here and there, remains of a few trolley poles.

Be interesting to find out what is currently left of the SL&U r/o/w in that area.
