On the west end of the interlocking the signal showed slow approach then approach on a straight route. Why does the signal do that? I know what the aspects mean.

It's near the end of the video

Could there be a shorter than usual distance to the next signal? (Although Approach Medium or Advance Approach would be more customary.) Be interesting to know whether the distant to this one showed Approach Slow or Approach during the Slow Approach phase.

The last two times I was at the former Irishtown crossing. The distant signals didn't go through their aspects. I know the train was past the next signal. I heard the Strasburg engine blow it's horn at the Amtrak train.
