all right im looking for info on a photo that has a mountain class locomotive surving the toarch all i know that is the locomotive was last in butler pa i jus wanna know if this locomotive is still there or what happened to it ? i will post the photo when i can find it online

I think I found what you were looking for dealing with the B&O mountain class in Butler, Pa , I did find at least three shots of the 4-8-2's in Butler, Pa , by then they were renumbed into the # 700 series . I am going to enclose a shot of B&O # 704 ex # 5562 in Butler, Pa. The mountain class, not a one of these engines were saved, the last ones when to scrap in the early 60's . Pat.

As a kid, I know several 4-8-2's were in the dead line at the Shop Track at Garrett, IN - this was in the 1959-1960 period. I don't know when they finally went of to the scrapers.
