Where is Clinton Jct on the LV, west of Niagara Jct. It's MP443.7. It's like a cross street or Lat/Long. My assumption is it's on the L&LE. Tifft Jct is 442.2. Thanks.

As you suspected, according to the LV Modeller web site, it is on the Lehigh and Lake Erie branch. See http://www.anthraciterailroads.org/lvrr ... nch-lines/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; near the very end of the page. 1.5 miles west of Tifft Junction.

I also found a track chart from 1952, updated 1970. It shows "Clinton St interchange" at that location (Scroll down to page 2b web page).

From some old Conrail Buffalo area track chart I have from 1978, it looks like a connection to a siding parallel to the Lehigh and Lake Erie main back to Tifft Junction. Doesn't answer why it is called "interchange" though.

Yes, on the L&LE, right above Clinton Street. In the 1970 track drawing it was just Clinton Street Interlocking and was the west end of a 3000' siding that ran east to Tifft Jct.. Switch at Clinton St. was 320 feet west (geo south) of the 70 foot underpass. Westbound signals were 160 feet east of it. Slight correction on what I posted earlier. On the 1952/1970-update original LV track chart, it says "Inter" at Clinton St, not "interchange". ON the 1978 Conrail track chart (with the correct page now attached), written in hand by Clinton St it says "INTG." So there was an interlocking at Clinton St as Train Detainer points out, not an interchange. Makes sense going from double to single track. JS
I'm not sure where I got the 1978 Buffalo Area track chart from (of which I only posted 2 pages). My guess is the Multimodalways site.

1975 Employee Timetable calls it "Clinton St." and shows as an interlocking controlled by Niagara Jct. operator.

Little goof in this one, the miles are shown as 443, 444, etc. but there's an asterisk and the note is distance from Tifft Jct. as though they'd started over at zero.
