Congrats on getting to MP7!

I think there is a pic somewhere of me standing next to it when he cleared that track back in 2006.

The Ice Cream Train 8/4/19

Post by MARKON » Tue Aug 13, 2019 1:40 pm

Finally.. after years of following the trials and tribulations of the CMRR..finally got to ride on 8/4/19 with wife (convinced by the ice cream Sundays).
On a beautiful day the Alco RS-1 "burbling" up the grade on the outbound trip was worth the fare in itself. I had great discussions with volunteers (especially the gentleman spooning the ice cream). I am amazed by the loyality and dedication of the CMRR team with all of the political setbacks over the years. I truly think that the CMRR story could be a kind of "Sixty Minutes" expose..to blow the whistle on alot of political (fill in the blank)..
