The Observer newspaper, based in Kearny, would be a source to watch for any news on these long OOS bridges.

I say this as they called for the removal of NX, a/k/a, The Annie bridge, awhile back, and it is pretty amazing that no one was ever injured, or worse, climbing that thing.
NX is part of the former Newark branch of the Erie Railroad, WX and DB, are part of the realigned lower Boonton Line.
So far there are not any stories about any of these (3) bridges being removed.
