Hey folks-- A few years back, there was a map from the 1920s posted that showed a proposed reservoir north of Mountain View. The idea was to build a dam between where Alps Road is in Wayne, across to Lincoln Park and flood the valley to the north. The map showed the what would have been the realignment of the DL&W Boonton Branch and the Erie Greenwood Lake Division. It was pretty interesting. (I'd have lakefront property if they had gone through with it!) It looked a little like the crude map I drew and attached. If this sounds familiar to anybody, I'd love to see that map again! I believe it was on pink paper. Thanks!
