I don't think $57.00 is too bad for a major resort area of New Hampshire. I remember staying a few days in Twin Mountain several years ago but I do not remember the name of the place. It was reasonable, decent and clean with food nearby. After typing the above, I decided to check my 2010 AAA book, I do not have the 2011 book, and found the place that I stayed in several years ago and it was the Carlson's Lodge in Twin Mountain. I did not see much of anything listed for $57.00 or less a night so I think you had better plan to pay somewhat more. My guess is that at least some places might give you a deal for an entire week's stay and it might be worth your while.

$57 is reasonable. In the Portland area you'd be hard pressed to find a room for under $65-$70 a night, even during the off season.
