Hi all

We got to see the Hinsdale NH station this weekend. My boyfriend has a sign from it, so it was nice to see it still exists, and in nice condition.

We didn't get too close, though, because it appeared to be a home now. But a rail trail also seems to pass by it.

Does anyone know if people live there? Would walking up to it be tresspassing?

I understand a man lives there who did a good job restoring the station situated along the old B&M Ashuelot Branch which was abandoned in '84. Seems likely he would be interested in seeing the station sign.

I now have a new question:

Gary LaPointe's website states that the standing station is actually a replacement structure. I picked up a nice stereo view of the Hinsdale depot, BUT it does not match the current one.

There is a boxcar next to it lettered for the Vermont Central, which changed it's name in 1872, so the image is before that. Any other info people may have would be a big help in dating the image.

THANKS!
