The B&M side is clear to and beyond the diamond heading towards Littleton but the MEC side is not. From Hazen's to the diamond, most of the MEC side is clear, accept maybe the last half mile or mile before the diamond. The track becomes heavily over grown with 10+/- year old tree saplings growing in or near the gauge on either side of the diamond. Even with a brush cut, I really don't think the MEC side would be able to handle the weight of that transformer without track rehab. Maybe the B&M side could but there's no room to off load near the diamond, so the only other spot would be the MEC railyard where the depot and yard office use to be. Again, that would require track clearing and rehab, either from Hazen to the rail yard or the interchange track at the diamond to the rail yard, for a switch back move.

To keep all guessing, it's still at Hazens, Mt. Division side, as of an hour ago.

The transformer will be unloaded at Hazens for its road trip. Arrangements are still being made on its final leg of its journey, so there's no immediate timeframe available right now. Best bet is to keep an ear out for any NHDOT announcements about road closures.

Drove over to Hazens before dinner, 7324 and the TTX depressed flat are gone, as were the equipment from Edwards sans a lift and the transformer/platform.

Signage on it notes that it was built by HICO, based in S. Korea, and is destined for Eversource, which doesn't exactly say where it will end up. A good bit of searching hasn't turned up anything.

On Monday personnel from the NHCR were at the crossing by A & B Logging on Rte. 3 in Lancaster sorting thru the 115LBS rail that has been stockpiled since last year. looks like they might be getting ready to do some track work.

On 9/18, CSRX pulled two more cars from the siding west of Jiffy Mart in Whitefield, leaving just two open hoppers lettered for LVRC/SJL, supposedly of ancient New Haven heritage.

At 720AM NHCR pick up came south thru Lancaster headed towards Hazen. At 1147AM Conway Scenic 1751 came north with one covered hopper headed towards Groveton. Love the horn on that engine. At around 1400 1751 came south deadheading back to Hazen and, it will be returning to the Conway Scenic on 11/7.

Maine Track Works has been working South of Groveton switching rail out to 115LB rail for the last week or so . There MOW equipment is parked by the police station on the NHCR track . They have been working south of the US3 crossing coming out of Groveton.
