Tread carefully, X-train left a lot of unhappy people in their wake.
The virgin rail is not related to Xtrain. Virgin is a competitor that might actually get it done. No way this can support two trains so virgin will kill any last hopes. Air travel is 50 min or so and $90 between la and Vegas. Hard for a train to compete that would take many hours to get to Vegas and cost at best only slightly less money. Only selling point is no tsa line.

Lookup shearson financial, finet, and liberty capital asset management which became Xtrain which became united rail. Lots of press releases on great stuff that was going to happen soon but nothing ever really panned out.

Stored car is off the bridge, as of Saturday 4/27, saw ties laid on the RoW by the 293 exit, couldn't tell if they were the new ones, but stacks of new ties weren't far behind.

I think they serviced the customer in Tilton last Friday. Is the sale to United Rail final or still owned by Peter?

The sale of New England Southern Railroad did not materialize.
Las Vegas-based railroad consolidator United Rail was expected to buy the Concord, N.H., line, the state’s oldest, but the June 30 deadline for the sale is now expired.
New England Southern President Peter Dearness broke the news and is only saying that the short line is still operational. The railroad carries freight on 73 miles of track from Concord to the north. United Rail wants to establish a presence in the east, but no one knows why the deal was ditched.

Another fraud and Ponzi scheme exposed, just like the jokers at the Boston Surface Transportation Railroad.
"United Rail" keeps chirping about LA to Vegas Express trains but has no capital. Meanwhile a real company, Virgin Trains, has come forward with capital, a proposal and some legit history behind it in the same corridor. They already run Brightline express trains into Miami, FL.

United Rail seems to be on the prowl to acquire the Saratoga & North Creek line in NY State, and up to other filings with the STB. The seemed a notch slightly above the full fledged scam known as the "Boston Surface Railroad Company" which is going no where fast. Nice to see their shiny yellow locomotive still in the capable hands of the good guys !!

On Friday 8/9, the New England Southern Crew took care of business, making their complete 3rd run of the season, departing from their Canterbury World HQ south to Concord, north to Tilton with loads, south to Concord with empties, then north back to Canterbury, light.
