I was able to pull it up from the Millis Assessors' page. via the GIS system (https://www.axisgis.com/millisma/) According to that, Malevich, LLC bought it in 2006 on 15 September for US$1..

At the risk of veering off topic, the Special Permit Application for Site Plan Approval was on the Millis Planning Board Agenda for 8 October. No minutes posted yet so no idea how that went. From the application, it appears this will be a tenant operation (Therapeutic Health Center, Inc.). But yes, sadly it doesn't look like any prospects for a new rail customer there.

Permit application can be viewed here: http://www.millis.org/sites/millisma/fi ... -10-19.pdf

For what it's worth, Malevich LLC.'s sole purpose in life appears to be "MANAGING REAL ESTATE LOCATED AT 1073 MAIN STREET, MILLIS, MA", so
I suppose that should this project fail, another tenant could be a possible rail customer.

Was down to Millis last week...1701 asleep in her nest.. Was hoping for 10+ cars to be delivered for storage when the concrete plants shut down for winter maintenance.

Was also at the Hopedale yard as well and didn't see any Fly Ash cars there either.

Not sure if it's related but mid-city steel has more cars stacked up than I have ever seen there. They extend under rt 88 to the OOS track. Some loads and a bunch of empties.

Not related...I saw them too the other day. BCLR rehabbed the track to the edge of the swamp. Mid-City picks out what cars it wants
to load and such. Maybe a few pre-loaded to ship when the market calls for them.

If the cars now go to G&U, is the Millis Line out of business? Hopefully someone considers moving to the old GAF plant or that warehouse at the end of the line. Someone said that the Cannabis company planning on buying it fell through.

Try this one: https://www.axisgis.com/millisma/

The one you're looking for is number 10? just click on the parcel and click out on the arrow to get the property card.

Yes, that link works.
I have now seen pictures dated this year of fly ash cars at the transload point on the G&U. Looks like the Millis Line is once again OOS. Last move for Tresca was February 2019.

I'll bet the "just sitting there" isn't doing 1701 any good..
