I am currently watching on TV, The Travelers Championship Golf tourney from Cromwell Connecticut. A railroad line parallels a section of the golf course .... curious to what line this is.

This is the Valley branch of the old New Haven RR. Hartford to Old Saybrook Ct. It is now operated by the Providence & Worchester RR.

The spelling is W-O-R-C-E-S-T-E-R. The first "R" is silent and the last "R" is pronounced "AH" as in WHUS-TA. (Only in New England, and Hews-ton Texas, not HOUSE-TON St in NYC).
