Bring your kids to sit in the cab of an ex-New Haven FL9 Diesel, explore a snow plow, caboose, exhibits in a dining car and one the grounds!

WW&F will have their replica Dairy Car on display there too. On a 30 foot section of replica track (30lb rail) and display items. Manned by yours truly.

An enormous success, and thanks to everyone who supported the event, attended the event, and appeared! We had consistent visitation throughout the day, and...was it the free ice cream from Darling's Automotive's Ice Cream Truck... or did everyone just have a great time? Parents were responsible, children well behaved, Labradors mellow.
Between general donations, sales of shirts and items, we raised over $2,000 in one afternoon. Thanks also to those who continued to support our Indiegogo campaign!

Maine Central 470 gets closer to restoration in small steps. If you haven't joined or visited our website, please do so http://www.newenglandsteam.org" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; .

Thanks to:

Maine Eastern Railroad for sharing their station, FL( 488, their diner and lounge car, the beautifully rebuilt caboose, the snowplow (which we did need this weekend, than gosh), Boothbay Railroad Village, Wiscasset, Waterville, and Farmington Railroad for bringing their terrific refrigerator car, Operation Life Saver for their handouts, and educational materials, and of course Darling's Automotive and their ice cream truck!

Touch A Train will occur again at the Downeast Scenic Railroad, Washington Junction, Ellsworth, Maine, on June 21st!

This had to be the single most perfect day of the year thus far. Everything went beautifully.
More pictures will appear on our website and in our newsletter. Thanks to the Maine Eastern Railroad, the Wiscasset, Waterville, and Farmington Raiload, the Boothbay Railway Village, Operation Lifesaver, and Darling's Automotive which brought it's Ice Cream truck to the station. Either Mom's or Dad's gave permission to post their child's image. Our thanks to them!
