Apparently the first five mile of line built north out of Mount Vernon Indiana were accomplished by the Mount Vernon and Grayville Railroad before it was consolidated with another line. This consolidation was later thrown out by the courts and the line out of Mount Vernon eventually ended up as part of the C&EI. Does anyone have any information on how it came to end up as part of the C&EI or where to look? I am also still looking for the charter date of the MtV&G.

Thanks,
Thomas
