Please go to the Ready Track Page at www.erstwhilepublications.com to get the spiel on this 320 page hardcover book.

Railroading on the Wabash Fourth District is a Wabash Railroad book but the postscript chapter covers the railroad after the 1964 Wabash lease to Norfolk & Western to current day, including remaining operations on Norfolk Southern, Indiana Northeastern and the South Shore. The Fourth District was an integral part of the shortest Chicago-Detroit railroad and ran from Montpelier, Ohio through Northern Indiana to Chicago. It was the home of the last mixed train in Indiana and the first Wabash District to be dieselized. In addition to hundreds of illustrations, almost half of the book is in the own words of railroaders that worked the line. The book includes endnotes, appendices, a large index and a color section.

The books are scheduled to ship to me December 20, 2013, but in the meantime, I'm offering a pre-publication promotion of $5.00 off the $39.95 list price until December 31, 2013 only. Ordering information is on the Ordering Page.
