About 4 weeks ago a relay cabinet and a 40' shipping container (for storage) appeared adjacent to the Crown Crown Road grade crossing in Fruitland. About a week ago crews from Norfolk Southern began the process of installing the relay cabinet, trenching cables and installing the signals. As I write this the signals are up with bags over them and the gate arms have not been installed.
Got the opportunity to look in the relay cabinet. The microprocessor based hardware that will control the gates and signals is slightly bigger then your typical personal computer tower case laying on its side.
