How many daily trains run through Delson, Quebec, just south of Montreal? And secondly, are there any accessible spots for viewing the yard especially where they keep the engines?

How many daily CN trains run through Delson, Quebec just south of Montreal? Are they mostly locals in this area?

Actually Delson is also at the end of CN's Massena Spur from Brossard. Since this line really doesn't go anywhere there won't be much traffic however.

Not too much activity, around 4 or 5 trains a day in average, and also few ATM on the week,by tha AMT,the Only way to make a round trip by the train, from Montreal,it's by the 12h20 departure from Montreal and the train come back from Candiac at 13h45,by going to Candiac,if your lucky, you will be able to acces to the cab of the control car and get a nice view,by crossing Mercier bridge, you get a spectacular view like that

Yep, the CP Adirondack & Lacolle Subs definitely see MUCH more traffic! THE CN Massena Sub end of track is just shy of where the diamond used to be decades ago (back when the Massena Spur was still the Massena Sub & went thru to Huntingdon). Now, the Massena Spur dovetails into Stella-Jones, which is a telephone pole & railroad tie manufacturer, serviced by both CP & CN. The only train that operates on the Massena Spur is CN 524, which is based out of Southwark, which only runs to Delson when service is needed by S-J.
