We currently have two new rail trails being built here in Pulaski County in Indiana. The first is called the Erie Trail and it runs from Monterey to North Judson, In. This was the former Erie R.R. main from Chicago to New Jersey. This line was last operated by Railamerica's (TPW) operation. The other line is called the Panhandle Trail. This was the former Pennsylvania R.R. from Columbus, OH. to Chicago,Il. This line was torn up between Winamac,In. and the junction at Kenneth. Again this line was last used by Railamerica's (TPW) operation. I use to work on these to lines when they were owned by Frick's Fertilizer Co. The lines were known as the JK LINE (ex. ERIE) and the A&R LINE (ex. PENNSYLVANIA). :(
