The three locomotives in Maine are all in service, namely 488, 764 and 3573. At least they were as of Wednesday when I was there.

SVC = Serviceable (Operational or down for minor running repairs)
OOS = Out of Service

RRPX is a leasing company owned by M&E president Wes Weis.

GP9M #22 - OOS at Jefferson Road (engine replacement not finished)

FL9 #485 - OOS somewhere on Whippany line (East Hanover?), RRPX-owned (parts source - I've never actually seen this locomotive)
FL9 #486 - OOS somewhere on Whippany line (East Hanover?), RRPX-owned (parts source - I've never actually seen this locomotive)
FL9 #487 - OOS in Morristown, RRPX-owned (intact, may be restored to operation)
FL9 #488 - SVC in Maine, RRPX-owned
FL9 #489 - OOS in Whippany, RRPX-owned (needs engine repairs)

SW1200 #559 - SVC in Morristown, RRPX-owned
SW1200 #563 - SVC in Morristown, was RRPX-owned but is now sold to new owner (rumor has it it's the East Penn Railway?)

M420 #3562 - OOS at Jefferson Road, RRPX-owned (parts source)

C424 #4216 - SVC stored at Jefferson Road (needs some electrical work, but runs and plans are to restore it to operation)
C424 #4231 - OOS at Jefferson Road (will likely be a part source)
RS11 #7205 - OOS at Morristown, RRPX-owned
RS11 #7215 - OOS at Jefferson Road, RRPX-owned
Plymouth #7299 - SVC in Morristown, owned by the Department of Veterans Affairs

I was in Maine two weeks ago to work on some of the passenger cars. The Alexander Hamilton and the Pine each got two wheelsets replaced, and we did a 92-day on #488.

According to this months railpace it was said that M&E got former CP C424 4204 from CN by way of RRPX. any truth to it.

As you may known, MTANJ is a participant in the annual Toys for Tots trains.

Former Amtrak SW1 740 has been scrapped. Ex CP C424 4204 is in transit to the M&E. The locomotive departed Allentown, Pa. on January 10 on NS 38G, for Camden, NJ.

... And went back to Allentown on 39G today. I would guess that it will be brought to Washington on tomorrow's H65, for pickup by H02 on Friday.

Any idea if this unit is going to be used or will be parted and eventually scrapped like the M636 they acquired six years ago?
