Some time ago, (a year or two), I saw a lash up of a M&E engine and a NS engine with a couple of passenger cars that went through to Washington NJ and returned. I was told that the M&E might be taking over the freight service on the Dover to Washington line. What ever became of that? Is it still in the works or has it been dropped? I searched both this forum and the NS forum and did not find any references.
