Also as far as the M&E goes it's a convenience. The locomotive, while great looking, doesn't run (there was a long old thread about it - it will start and move but at 5MPH) so having it on display in Madison saves them having to find a spot for it on the M&E and keep jockeying it out of the way of things that might actually earn some money.
