Headed north today in the very nasty weather was a three Alco move #421, #421 &#424 into Avon with 16 cars. Switching at Kraft must have made for a soaked crew. Pulled 4 cars from Kraft. They took a covered hopper in & out with them, maybe for added switching at the Grainery or elsewhere in and around Avon.

I guess the severe thunderstorms and hail must've had you rattled? One of the worst hailstorms I ever went through hit the Livonia/lakeville area on June 14th, 1998. It even washed the fill on Bronson Hill Road that had replaced a bridge over the LAL. FWIW, NYS forced LAL to abandon the line east to Livonia in 1981 because it was cheaper to fill in the "dip" than to build a new bridge over the tracks. So much for progress...
