The town of Hornellsville and City of Hornell have reached an agreement to transfer to the city the South yards for the City Industrial Development Agency to do rehabilitation and add track sidings and extensions for NS to/from WNYP operations as well as other commerce and rehabilitation of this Industrial commerce area.
The IDA now has until the end of 2005 to start projects or they will loose some of the funds that they obtained to make the South Yards project a viable concern.
