Those new Alstom Engines are being test run today on the WNYP. Already in Wellsville. The engines have been testing regularly on the tracks between Belvidere and Hornell. According to other sources, WNYP personell are on board for these tests. Someof these units have been in Storage at Alstoms Wellsville Preheater plant facility. Movements to and from Hornell to the Wellsville facility are handled by WNYP.

I checked that msn group and was wanting to see what you were talking about. Do these babies have Alco engines in them or is this a completely different animal?

These Alstom units are built by Western NY people in Hornell, NY. They have been tested regularly by LAL operaters for Alstom. Railfan.net website has picutres taken by Doug Gavitt. They will end up at New Jersey Transit.
