First Class Excursion on D-L Nov 8

The Erie Lackawanna Dining Car Preservation Society announces the “Pocono Express” on Sunday, November 8th. This trip will be a round-trip excursion from Scranton to East Stroudsburg, with several photo stops planned en route. Departure is scheduled for 10:00AM. Featuring our restored Nickel Plate Road sleeping car City of Lima and restored heavyweight business car Lehigh Valley 353, trains will be powered by Delaware-Lackawanna power. The trip will depart from the State Parking Lot in Scranton (Lackawanna Ave. just beyond the Steamtown Mall). Continental breakfast and lunch will be served, and are included in the ticket price.

Seating will be located inside the bedrooms and roomettes of City of Lima and LV 353.

ELDCPS and the Delaware-Lackawanna Railroad reserve the right to substitute equipment and/or motive power if necessary. Directions to the boarding sites, parking, and details of the trip will be mailed with tickets.
Each rider, regardless of age, must have a ticket. There is no smoking on the train.
Seating is limited to 36 people so please order early.
