The engines finally left Frontier last night on 628 for the Bridge (Niagara Falls) and this morning on 624 for Rochester, then back to Batavia on the local out of Rochester.

1044...from herein now to be known as the "Fo-Fo", made a landing at just about 1330 hours on runway #6 in Batavia....

The boyz in Scranton did a fantastic job of dressing her up, and she looks like she will be a sweet runner. Finally having a locomotive in GVT corporate dress (even if it is only a miniskirt) will mean alot in Batavia, and she's a credit to the shops down south....you guys did a great job.

Just wait until we tuck her in the new roundhouse.....

The 2035 also made it to Lockport, (you could hear the saliva dripping into pools in Middleport all morning) and we'll be under her hood tomorrow.

I couldn't agree more with you man. I just recently ran into her last week in Batavia. I go to the community college out here so its not that far of a drive at all.

I went to get a mocha at Tim Hortons when I heard the "fo-fo" as you call her. Horn is much different then that of the 1801 which is no longer around. I know the horn was replaced on it a while back as well. When I head it I was like "thats gotta be the 1044". I had no intent to actually catch her that day, almost missed class because of it but it was Worth it. I had my camera on me so I was able to get some pictures of her coming back toward the interchange. Go ahead and check them out if you'd like.

She's stinky in the morning (aren't they all), but she runs real nice once her legs are stretched. Not much speed, but she will walk away with 40 or so cars easily. A sister here would be a peach.

2035 is in regular service, and 1802 is on standby.

I caught 2035 working Agway in Knowlesville about a month back or so. You can check those out on the Falls Road archive on my RRPA.Net as well. That beast sounds awesome when they open the throttle on her, plus the plume of black smoke that she puffs out. I don't like women who smoke, but I don't mind if the women of the railroads dude. I am not talking about actual females either. Hahaha.

For the 1044, who cares about her speed. Looks and power is all I care about. Shes a babe to me, even if she's old as sliced bread.

Its been almost half a year since 1801's replacement arrived..
Where is 1801 now?
Is she still in Batavia?
if so, why?

and if so, where? :wink:
is she at the roundhouse, or still inside the Majic facility?

or did she sneak off to Scranton without anyone noticing?

The 1801 is still in Batavia, parked with the caboose behind the Pepsi dist. Saw it just about 2 hours ago.
