GVT aquires DL&W boxcar

According to internet reports a DL&W boxcar still in faded original paint is on its way to Scranton. The car was formerly in the NS yard in Elmira.

Went east out of Enola today. Should be in Scranton by the weekend.

On its own wheels? I thought this car would be flatbedded due to its age.

I do believe its on a flatcar.

Correct. Car is on a flat car with one wheelset next to it. Still has friction bearing trucks.
